Bringing liquids from ports onboard

I know that you can bring liquor onboard that you've bought from ports and that it gets sent to your room later on during the cruise, but what about other liquids? (soda, juice, liters of water etc.) Do they let you bring these things onboard as well?

You can carry on water, juice, soda etc. No problem. At least with Carnival you can.

I have bought a six-pack of soda in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. No problems bringing them onboard.

Is this something new bringing liquor on from port? I thought If you purchase liquor In port you get it at the end of the cruise Same as if you purchased a bottle from the duty free on ship.

Nothing new. If you bring liquor onboard from your port of call, you have to turn it in and can retrieve it the last morning onboard. What they are referring to is cokes, water and other non-alcoholic drinks. You are allowed to take those to your cabin immediately.
