Any Thoughts On Verdanza Hotel?

I have a current reservation at the Verdanza Hotel in a club room that includes a daily continential breakfast. Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences at this hotel or their continental breakfast? Also, I am looking for a nice place for dinner that is within walking distance.

We stayed there one night pre-cruise in December, 2011. It was a nice place. Rooms were welcoming and clean, staff friendly and neighborhood was safe. It's right down the street from Embassy Suites and a short walk to the beach. We didn't try their restaurant. We had dinner at Outback in the Embassy Suites and walked a couple of blocks and had breakfast in a local restaurant that was very good, but don't recall the name.

Thank you for the positive thoughts on the hotel itself. I hope there are better places for dinner than Outback that are close by.

I'm sure there are probably much nicer places nearby. We arrived in the evening and were traveling with my Mother. She was tired from the flights and wanted a quick dinner and to relax for the evening.

Found the name of the place we had breakfast. They offered breakfast, lunch, dinner and had a bar. The name was Mi Casita, more of a diner than fine dining. It's located in a strip mall about a block from the hotel. Was recommended by some locals.

Stayed at the Verdanza November 5th thru the 7th and loved it! Have stayed precruise probably 7 times in different hotels and rest assured the property is clean, hotel personnel top notch, like the other poster said within walking distance to the Embassy, which has a casino, and authentic Puerto Rican Food at Mi Casita, in the strip mall down the street. The beach is also within walking distance! I wouldn't hesitate to book Verdanza in the future.

Thank you for your positive feedback. I think we will have dinner at Mi Casita.

Yee's Asian restaurant is in the hotel and is excellent. I go to Puerto Rico twice a year for business and always eat at Mr. Yee's!!

Thank you for this suggestion in case we do not feel like venturing outside of the hotel after a long day of flight travel.
