Greenhouse Retreat

Sailing on the Veendam and was wondering if the saunas, jacuzzi and heated lounge area are open to everyone? Or is there a cost to use these? We don't want spa services just would like to use these.

There is a cost to use the Greenhouse Spa Retreat. The charge depends on the length of the cruise. There is a slight reduction if two people choose to enroll together for the couples package. My Dear Sis and I usually do that. You also have the option of a day pass for one day use of the Retreat, usually for a charge of around $20 or $25. You do not have to use any of the other spa services to enjoy the Greenhouse Spa. The ceramic tile beds are very soothing.

 

I don't know about the Veendam, but on other HAL ships I have sailed on, there is a women's and men's sauna that is available for public use.

On a recent 7 day Westerdam cruise, the Spa ran a special on embarkation day of $249 for the week for unlimited visits. They provided lockers, robes, towels and slippers. Access was to the hydro-therapy pool, steam rooms, thermal lounges, etc. It was well worth the price.

Our cruise is the 17 day circle Hawaii. Is that $249 pp? Maybe on embarkation day they will have a special for using the retreat. Thanks for the info.

Normally on departure day they run a special - $xxx for the lenght of the cruise. A 7 day is normally 199-249 for a couple. Our 11 day was $299 for a couple.
