kcbbqguru Posted August 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2005 Why are all the suites booked on Disney ships? We are new to Disney, and we would like to upgrade and go all out in a suite, but all the dates I check are booked? Do they go that fast?
hencoll Posted August 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2005 Category 1, 2 & 3 Suites can be very difficult to book. Many people Fax in a request to Disney Inventory control years in advance - yes, even before dates and itineraries have been released. We have one of the larger Midship Cat. 3 Suites for our Oct. 2006 Cruise, it was booked in Sept. of 2004. According to our TA, there are folks who have already faxed in suite requests for 2008 and beyond.
Ella2 Posted August 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2005 As hencoll stated, the suites on Disney are VERY limited in number and in high demand. It's basically impossible to try and upgrade into one; if you really want a suite, have your TA fax Inventory Control BEFORE the itineraries are released for the date you want (such as 2007 or 2008) and they will fill those requests before opening dates to the general public. Remember, supply and demand...there are only TWO Disney ships, and lots of demand. :) That said, the Category 3 One-Bedroom Suites sometimes ARE available without prior faxing to Inventory Control...you can always waitlist for a Cat. 3 if you really want a suite. Good luck!
