eminence_front Posted August 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2005 ...and ship starts embarking at 1:00 p.m., if I'm correct. With picking up the luggage from the luggage area and being taken to the Carnival ship via the shuttle, does this sound like sufficient time? (I don't think the ship departs until 4:00 or so). KalenaD Posted August 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2005 no problem IF and I mean a big IF there are no problems with your flights. There are tons of postings on the dangers of flying in on the day the cruise leaves. One poster was delayed 6 hours on a 2 hour flight from california to seattle. PLEASE read them before you book, the cost of catching up to the cruise ship if your flight is delayed is much more than a hotel for the night. Besides New orleans is a great place to go for a night. When we left from New Orleans twice on carnival and royal caribbean the ship started boarding at around 11:oo NOT 1:00 like the documents said. save yourself some stress, go in a day early, at least.
