nicwoodard Posted November 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2014 We just booked a cruise on the Breeze for July, 2015. We are from Texas and have cruised the Magic twice and know the Breeze is similar (newer version of Magic with the awesome Guy's and the Blue Iguana). Since we have been on the Magic twice, we are familiar with the layout. But I would love to know what you feel are the best things about the Breeze! Thanks in advance! CalaDragonflyLady Posted November 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2014 The Breeze has some of the 2.0 upgrades the Magic doesn't have yet: Guy's Burgers, Red Frog Rum Bar (instead of just the Pub), Blue Iguana Cantina & Tequila Bar. The Breeze does not have the Alchemy Bar. Not sure about the Library Bar.

berryhillmom Posted November 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 16, 2014 We enjoyed the 4-d theater and felt it was worth the cost. I'm 45 and my mom 65 and we usually went after dinner sometime most nights. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
jacmo24 Posted November 16, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 16, 2014 We loved the theater. Bought the pass and went several times. Sit in the front row though! Love the hot tubs for sail away. Some of the floors in the buffet area are super slick. I had to try several pairs of shoes to find one that wouldn't make me almost fall.
HawkIVette Posted November 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2014 I liked Jimmy's BBQ on 5th deck Starboard. Only open on sea days.

Sauer-kraut Posted November 16, 2014 #13 Share Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) Self service beverage stations on the Lido are poor configured. You stand in line to get ice because the cold dispensers are at a right angle to the ice machine, the coffee/hot water which rarely get a line up are where the cold dispensers should be. nicwoodard Posted November 17, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Not yet... They were the last ship built before the 2.0 upgrades. It was scheduled to go to dry dock this year to put in the 2.0 upgrades, but that was delayed. But it's on the Triumph and we have had it on there...it is awesome! nursepixie Posted November 17, 2014 #18 Share Posted November 17, 2014 I had it on the breeze and loved it too, but I know I won't go back on the breeze because my husband won't fly, so I wanted to find something out of Galveston. FlyingCruiserNJ Posted November 17, 2014 #19 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Pretty much what everyone else in this thread said. Jimmy's BBQ on seadays on the lanai, outside of the promenade casino is really good but the line can get long. The Red Frog pub supposedly has good food and atmosphere but I only passed through there and never found out if they actually do serve fresh chicken wings or not. I also like the tandoor, the layout of the lido dining room and the fact that there are plenty of drink and coffee/hot chocolate machines located all over the lido marketplace so there's never a long walk or wait for them. The lanai hot tubs are unique but I never went into them. They have a full sports deck that is pretty well protected from the wind due to the design which is cool and an interesting decor and layout. I also like how the cabin doors are designed, very island style, not sure how to explain it but they are different. There are a few things I don't like about that ship but you asked what is different and better and there is plenty that is better and unique to give the ship a try. T. Advisor King Posted November 17, 2014 #20 Share Posted November 17, 2014 We enjoyed the Breeze in July, just like we enjoyed the Magic a few years ago in the Med. A ship would have to have something extremely remarkable for me to identify it as something I "liked" on the ship. I wouldn't likely notice if I went from one ship to another and the first one had a particular bar and the other one didn't, or one had a specific hamburger stand and the other one didn't. For the most part, a ship is a ship. The similarities vastly outweigh the differences. So for me, it is itinerary, price, departure port (how expensive will it be to fly there), the specific dates of the sailing, can I get a balcony cabin and that's about it. The two things I enjoy the most are the ports and lying on a deck chair in the sun. I could do both on a bare-bones, no frills unility vessel with a basic mess hall.
