mhdubgal Posted August 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2005 Horseshoe beach is 20 minutes from Hamilton and more from the Dockyards. The walk from the bus stop to the beach is less than 5 minutes--downhill. I road the jitney bus up for a $1.00 per person. I also have done it by taxi. The Taxi is fine. The Bus was fine. The jitney was ok- but better than walking up hill. Someone posted the above and I had some ?'s. Is there a way to get down to the beach from the bus stop that does not involve walking too much? My mother has trouble with her knees. Also does the jitney take you back up the hill to the bus stop? Thanks.

busybusybusy Posted August 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2005 We saw the jintey take people back down the hill, and they charged the same $1 pp. The jitney is to the right, sort of under a tree, at the top of the hill. If it isn't there, wait a few minutes, or have one person walk down and send them up. I'm sure he'll be happy, especially if he isn't busy. Have a wonderful time!:D
