Recent Panama Cruiser?

Having done this cruise years ago I seem to remember passport/customs/security delays in Cartagena, Columbia is this still the case and can you explain the process such as was it done on or off ship. Thanks.

We got off the ship, straight onto the Hop on/Hop off bus, and back onto the ship at the end. Did not show passport anyway.

We had the same experience on our April cruise this year. Walked right off at the port just like all the other ports. No hassle, no delay, and never showed our passports.

We just returned 2 weeks ago, on the freestyle daily they said take your passport off with you. We took ours, never left our bag. We were on ship's excursion though, not sure if that makes a difference.

just back from Cartagena in October on the Pearl. No delays, just like going into any other port in the Caribbean. We did the Chivas party bus tour...

No delays on the Sun in October as well.
