Susie51 Posted November 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2014 I just ordered luggage tag holders for e-docs from Amazon. There are 8 in a package for 16.95. Has anyone tried them?
Beaver1975 Posted November 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2014 They have held up well. We have used them for 5 cruises now.
darkprayer Posted November 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2014 I just ordered luggage tag holders for e-docs from Amazon. There are 8 in a package for 16.95. Has anyone tried them? I believe I just bought those exact ones for my upcoming cruise! Very thick, nice plastic holders with equally heavy plastic like ties. Note: you will have to trim your luggage tags a bit to make them fit but NOTHING on the tag that is writing, has to be cut off. I was very impressed with them when I opened them and happy so far!! LrgPizza Posted November 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2014 I bought those from Amazon for our Getaway cruise in May, and they worked great. I planned to use them again for our Epic cruise coming up, but NCL has changed the size of their tags, so they no longer fit. I had purchased the skinny clear tags, and NCL tags are now wide. There is another set available, from Amazon, that fit the new size tags. Luck for me, my wife was able to reformat the the new size tags to fit the old holders. Luck for me, my wife was able to reformat the the new size tags to fit the old holders. I saw those! Yeah, but having just spent the $17 for the tags a few months ago, I wasn't going to fork it out again and have all these tags lying around. The skinny plastic ones can still be used on our other travels, and we will just go without when we cruise (which is no big deal).
computerworks Posted November 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2014 Just curious... why buy a special holder for the tags that simply get your bags from the curb to the ship?
LrgPizza Posted November 18, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2014 Just curious... why buy a special holder for the tags that simply get your bags from the curb to the ship? Good question! We travel a lot, both for work and fun. We were in desperate need of new luggage tags, so I got these to kill 2 birds with one stone. Glad I have another use for them, since like I said, the new printed luggage tags no longer fit my holders from May!
Beaver1975 Posted November 18, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Just curious... why buy a special holder for the tags that simply get your bags from the curb to the ship? ...but more importantly they get your bags to your room. If the paper ones get dislodged somehow your bags could be misplaced and delayed in getting to you. $17.00 is pretty cheap peace of mind. But I guess there is always a first time. :p I use wide clear tape.
NJ Johnny Posted November 18, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 18, 2014 This: They look like they would be extremely wide. Could you please give us the dimensions of the new tags? Thank you. Carol

Carol No, but the sheet of paper is standard 8.5 X 11 inches, so you can use that info.
like-to-cruise Posted November 18, 2014 #16 Share Posted November 18, 2014 Go to your local library and have the tags laminated. LIttle cost and works well.:)
ginazgifs Posted November 19, 2014 #17 Share Posted November 19, 2014 Just printed my tags this morning. They look just like LrgPizza's (we are on the same cruise leaving Sunday and have the same Lime luggage tags :p) I had to trim them just a little, but the fit well in these tags from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GN1E4XE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=
Cruisercl Posted November 19, 2014 #18 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I just bought the narrow tag holders for a cruise in Oct 2014; if they don't fit the new tags, I'll make them fit. ;) Seems weird that the size would change in a month. :p
quillwercruisers Posted November 19, 2014 #19 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I purchased the narrow ones from on here at cruise critic. The new luggage tags will fit with a little trimming and folding. They work fine though. :p

Susie51 Posted November 19, 2014 Author #21 Share Posted November 19, 2014 There are two sizes on Amazon. Small for RCI and Celebrity; large for NCL and most other cruise lines.
Cruisercl Posted November 19, 2014 #22 Share Posted November 19, 2014 There are two sizes on Amazon. Small for RCI and Celebrity; large for NCL and most other cruise lines. When I bought mine in September 2014 NCL tags were narrow. Things apparently have changed. No issues though. :)
