Verizon's global data plan in Asia

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm thinking about signing up for the global data plan with Verizon so I can use my cell phone on the Millennium cruise in Asia to check emails and send FB updates. Has anyone had experience with this? Is the Verizon service faster or the same as the ship's internet service? Thanks.

Cell phone internet is slower then ship internet, not by much though. If you get this make sure you shut off all updates on the phone while in roaming, this includes auto mail, auto uploads, etc. You be amazed what your phone is doing if left on when your not using it. Its best to shutoff data until your ready to use it.
