Ok maybe this is a dumb question but here goes....

On one ships sailing how many are guarantees?

example: My cruise 7 day mexican reviera cruise I Booked a 4a guarantee and about a day later I relized they are not offering this anymore in other words, well I take it as (sold out) of the guarantee's. I had booked 2 rooms one for 3 people and one for 2 people.

So basically my question is how many 4a guarantees do they sail per cruise sailing?

If anyone knows please reply, Thanks for doing so!!!:)

I guess the short answer is they'll sell as mant as they have to. Carnival would much prefer that every client book a specific cabin. This would mean that every cabin generates its expected revenue. When someone books a guarantee and ends up getting upgraded two categories the revenue for that cabin has fallen short by the difference between what was paid for the guarantee and what was being asked for the upgraded cabin.

If Carnival knows in advance that historically such-and-such a sailing on such-and-such a date is going to sell out no matter what, the guarantees will be few and far between. But on a "soft" sailing they may make guarantees available on just about any booking made. That's why the offer will come and go on many sailings as the booking pattern changes.

Depends how the cruise sells. I am a lurker on the carnival web site and have seen guarantees disappear and then re-appear.

Also watch right after a sailing has final deposits due, lots of folks withdraw and lots of booked cabins can open up. I can't remember when the final deposit is about 80 days out I think.

Final payment due 70 days out..... Also what do you mean when you say the spirit class only has one deck of oceanview cabins? I belive 80% of the cabins are ocenview..... or are you just meaning oceanview in the way of outside window view??? you know not that I am writting this and thinking then thats is probly what you meant..... as of right now there are NO guarantees avial for any of the leavels. I hope whats left of the 10-14 inside rooms get sold out, that way I get upgraded...... I got upgraded VERY well on our 1st cruise andit was GREAT!
