That may be a general situation but not always the case - I have evidence of UK fares, albeit though a TA, being a considerable reduction against Cunard list and better than anything seen available in America at the same time. As said before, fares are a minefield and a good deal of research can find significant savings. Some of the flight upgrades to premium economy/business can also be good deals through UK offers. Agree, always best to do your homework. However people should not be put off using a US TA website if it is well known and has been around a long time. I have used TAs on both sides of the pond dependent on which has the best deal for me or direct with the cruiseline.
