So let's be honest the woman take quite a bit longer to get ready than us men and that's okay. Why she was getting ready I went around the ship on my own and explored.

Anyone want to take a guess, how I got this far off the ship for this picture?

Great review, we go on the same cruise on Thanksgiving. Is there a sports bar that has tvs?

No sports bar's with TV's, however you can often watch games in the Viking Crown Lounge with amazing views of the ocean.

Great guess, but no...

Great review. Does the Hoof and Claw still have the fish and chips lunch? Was Sorrentos and Promenade Cafe open on embarkation? Thanks

Hoof & Claw didn't have any food items, ever. I did see vintages offering some free taps in the evening.

Sorrentos & Promenade Cafe were both open on embarkation. They did close at 2:30 each evening, which left me with no late night food options... (other than room service at $5 and an hour wait)

Tonight was the Welcome Back Reception for the C&A members, and I haven't attended one in well over a year, so I thought we would attend tonight's. I could have called it Welcome Back - Book Quantum.

I miss the ice version...

They serve free cocktails during the event, so those without the drink package, might not want to miss this one.

We had around an hour to kill, so we spent some time in the wine bar. Other than the Oasis Class, I must say this is the best vintages at sea. The whole experience was great, the main bartender didn't ask what you wanted, but what kind of wine you liked. This is the service we all desire when cruising, and the liberty came through there.

This was one of the best Wine's I've ever had, I told the wine master what I liked and he delivered. Sure at a premium of $24/Glass, but when on holiday I don't worry about stuff like that. And with the drink package it was only $12.

The Wine Master himself, if you see him on the Liberty, stop by he is incredible.

I agree, that's the wine we use our BOGO drink coupons for.:)

Clearly I need to learn to take my pictures straight! or maybe it was that glass of wine... I'm going with the wine.

It was time for the captains reception, which has always been one of my favorite events, especially on these larger ships.

For those's who are not aware of what this event is, it's simply a cocktail party with the captain speaking, ect. They do hand out free champagne (if we can call it that?)

I saw plenty turn the glass back and grab another, that's what the drink package is for, formal night is not power hour!

Since tonight was formal night, I almost always make RSVP at Chops Grill at $30PP on the Liberty. (some ships have moved up to $35PP)

The service was over the top from the second we arrived. My guess is they had a heads up we were coming, because they were being extra friendly, which I loved.

Here are a few of the starters we had.

Guess who stopped by our table to ensure we were enjoying our dinner! Our head waiter from the dinning room. I could not believe it! He wanted to make sure they were taking good care of us, and invited us down to the dinning room tomorrow night. This is the service I'm talking about that royal always come through, this was not expected this was over the top if you as me.

I think him so much and said we will return tomorrow.

Always famous picture of my raw steak!

Caymus Cab is THE best. We did the same thing on the Allure. Have to buy a bottle or 2 before they are gone.

I am enjoying reading your review. Love reading about her...good and not so good. We are looking forward to our July sailing! Can you explain the concept of the wine master (sommelier? ) in conjunction with those wine dispensers? It's strange to have both. I hope Caymus Cab is Not in the dispenser! That is my favorite red wine!

They did have the wine dispensers, however I never saw anyone using them. You have to walk past the bar to get to them, which is likely why.

When I said wine master, I was referring to him be extremely knowledgable about all the wines. He let us or I should said encouraged us to tasked the wine before we ordered a glass. He said, "How, can you know what the wine is going to task like by reading the title?"

Also going on about how Americans don't spend 2-3 hours at dinner and enjoy good company! I was laughing so hard.

This was my first meal at Chops I didn't finish my steak and passed on desert. We were both so full we were about to bust!

After dinner we made our quick donation to Casino Royal. Maybe it was just me, but this casino was booming every night, people waiting to play games. I think you tend to see more of this on shorter cruises. I saw a couple put $100 on black on roulette and kept winning and got up to $1000 in just 30 mins. I kept thinking I would have quit at 3-4 hundred to cover cost of cruise.

We just happen to run into one of the parade going on at 10:30PM. Didn't stay for the whole thing, this has been one long day. But I always take full advantage of day 2 on cruises, you are well rested and ready to go!

IMG_5341_zps874f0002.jpg

Around 11PM we called it a night and headed back to the room. This wraps up day 2!

Thank you so much for the detailed review and great pics. It makes waiting until April for our Easter weekend 4 day cruise on LOTS even more enticing. I am also a "Beer Junky" and am glad to see that there is at least one IPA in the listings. I had pretty much already figured that the Hoof & Claw would be my go-to place, and guarantee that I will know the bartenders by name and they will know mine ;-) We also purchased the Ultimate PKG ;-)

Thanks again for all the pics. I am a Medical Photographer and carry around a Nikon D300s with a few lenses all day long, so the last thing I want to do is carry a Huge camera when I'm on vacation, but I do end up missing the pics I could get with it. Instead a carry a pocket camera (Nikon AW100) that does an OK job, but Not like a "Real" camera would.

Thumbs up to all your great work.
