Wayfairers Posted November 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Has anyone visited Labrador by cruise ship and visited Saddle Island? We've been there before by RV and climbed the lighthouse (gorgeous view) and seen the amazing museum at the National Historic Site and did some shopping in town. We didn't see Saddle Island. I found on line that you take the boat to the island from the National Historic Site. I cannot remember exactly where that was. I'm wondering how far it is from the cruise terminal and if it is safe to walk there? Wayfairers Posted November 26, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted November 26, 2014 I've sent a couple of emails to the tourist office and the NHS office (although they are currently closed). No response from either yet.
Wayfairers Posted December 3, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted December 3, 2015 We visited Saddle Island on a cold, rainy, foggy day in July and still enjoyed walking the trail around the island. Nice views. It is an easy walk from the cruise ship terminal to the museum. The boat leaves (on demand the day we were there) from behind the museum.
