Choice between Waterfalls & Grand Etang Ntl Park?

If the river-tubing excursion doesn't work out, my next choice is a spice tour. There are two different tours offered along with the Nutmeg Plantation.

One is swimming at a waterfall the other is visiting the rainforest at Grand Etang National Park.

Opinions? What were your experiences?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I enjoyed the Grand Etang National Park. The drive there was spectacular. The visitor's center had very knowledgeable staff and excellent displays. I enjoyed talking with a spice shop woman and learned a bit about her life in Grenada. Appartenly you can sometimes see wild monkeys near the parking lot. Unfortunately we only had about a 30 min stop here, so I am not sure what else one might do here. I recommend bringing cash for purchases and tips. This country really needs an infusion of business. Very high unemployment.

We ended up at the Grand Etang National Park volcano/crater lake. I think that was a good choice, the rain forest drive was beautiful. The driver pointed out many of the different trees and spice plants on the way. We didn't see monkeys either, I think there were too many people.

I liked the nutmeg factory tour, spices are more than a grocery-store jar to me-love to see how it all grows and is cultivated.

Enjoy your travels!

Laurie
