Where did the music go?

The DJ's are very terrible. They drive people away from the Lido deck. The steel drum bands, by contrast, always drew a crowd. How can Carnival not get this?

If you want me to cruise Carnival again - bring back the live music - especially "old rock & roll".

I think it's time...to combine our efforts to make a Cruise Critic "Wikipedia" of current bands based with current experiences and reviews, communication with

actual -bands, finding out:

-ships that have them

-contract beginning and end, (if possible)

-changes on the fly, etc

 

We know like Glory and Pride, etc. 2.0 They are strictly

PLAYLIST PRODUCTIONS

 

***LIBERTY, MIRACLE, SPLENDOR, AND MANY FANTASY CLASS SHIPS

will still have the bands we have enjoyed and are hoping for ...rather than simply "HOPING" we find one on board. We could add an other group that is a " HIT-OR-MISS" selection.

Facebook and personal relationships with band members is important as well.

 

What we need is a communication network that is organized and up to date.

 

Any thoughts...I may turn his into it's own thread..

Our recent cruise on Splendor had the DJ on lido at sailway. He really "felt" the crowd and had a lot of folks dancing. Our group enjoyed it.
