vette Posted August 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2005 I know the answer is probably here somewhere, but I did a search and nothing immediately popped up. Are there any self-serve laundry facilities on the Dream. We are cruising on her in November and one of our party needs to know. Vette
mbarnaby99 Posted August 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2005 The Dream does not have self service laundry. Have fun on your trip.
vette Posted August 23, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Mbarnaby99, Thank you so much for your quick response. I will pass on this information to our cruise buddy. I knew someone here would have the answer. Vette
hotspur Posted August 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Don't know which Dream cruise you and/or your cruise buddy are doing, but someone has mentioned here that there is a convenient laundromat in Skagway.
SeattleCruiselover Posted August 23, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Alaska season well over by November, but you are right, there is a laundromat in Skagway on Second and State Sts. for those who are still going up for the last few cruises. Mc_Cruiser Posted August 23, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Ther is no self service on the Dream as already mentioned here, BUT they offered a special during the last few days of the cruises to Alaska, where you could fill a large bag and get that all washed and pressed for a flat fee of $19.95 (2 for $29). We managed to get a weeks worth of underwear for 2, plus about 12 T-Shirts and Polo tops in the bag and still close the top. A pretty good bargain compared with the itemised price (which you could use at any time). You simply left it in your room 3 days before the end of the cruise, and got it back the day before you return to Seattle.
Don Haynes Posted August 23, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Yes, that is a good deal I always take advantage of. But most of the time I use the laundry before, as I pack very light. The laundry service is good during the entire cruise...they will even press things for you too.....
vette Posted August 24, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted August 24, 2005 Thanks everyone for all this information - it was just what I was looking for. The $19.95 special may be a great alternative to sitting for hours doing laundry, when they could be drinking foofoo drinks, eating, partying, dancing, watching the ocean, drinking foofoo drinks....... you get my drift! Thanks all. Vette
