Rare birdlord Posted December 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2014 I know it's probably been asked before, and I guess I'll take the chance and ask it again -- and I guess it's a two part question -- besides the casino, are there any limits to what you can use OBC for? For instance, if I want to use towards a drink package, will that work (if I wait until I board to order the package)? Presumably you can't use OBC until you are actually *on* the ship (in other words, I can't call up a week before leaving and ask to apply OBC towards a drink package that I might pay for then instead of after boarding)? You cannot use OBC until you are on board. You can use OBC for just about anything you would purchase on board, such as excursions, drink packages, drinks, shops on board, specialty dining, etc. The only thing that comes to mind that you cannot use OBC for is booking a new cruise. dedosr Posted December 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2014 You can use on board credit for anything that would otherwise be charged to your stateroom account. The OBC shows up as a credit. However with Royal Caribbean, any advance purchases have to be paid with a credit card when ordered. On Other lines, such as Princess, purchases before you board are just added to your account, then the OBC could be used for them since you do not have to pay upfront. Ocean Boy Posted December 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2014 You can also use OBC toward gratuities if you have them posted to your seapass account.

readytolose Posted December 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2014 And just so you know, sometimes your OBC doesn't show up on your account until the second day. You can still go ahead and "spend" it on the first day. Your account will just be adjusted accordingly once the OBC is applied.
