Log into my booking online problems

Recommended Posts

When I try to log into my cruise or to go to manage my booking my ref number is never recognised. I booked via telephone from the Thomson cruises website. I phone as I wanted to pre book a cabin.

After a call to Thomson, I am told I apparently booked through a Thomson shop in Southampton and as such I cannot log in?????

Strange as I have never been there before...

Perhaps when you ring to book a cruise from the website, the number just connects to whatever Thomson shop is free at that time and they do the booking. Still don't know why I cannot log into my cruises or get to my booking online. Was hoping to book excursions from the site too, but can't do that if I cannot log in.

To log in on the site, I just go on the main Thomson cruise page http://www.thomson.co.uk/cruise.html

and click on API login at the top. I find my booking on there by entering the number without the / on it, and get the page for all sorts of things from select seats to check in, API completion, boarding cards and extras.

We booked our cruise online & cannot access MyThomson as it is after 31/10/2015 and so not available.

Also, I cannot get API to work in flight extras. I've keyed in what they suggest and I get error messages.

I have e-mailed Thomson but there is a 4 day wait. I refuse to pay to phone. Excellent customer service from this fantastic customer service based company.

Quality.

Thomson replied to my e-mail within 24 hours & not 4 days. Thank you Thomson for this service. My paperwork says "from now (December 2014 until 24 hours before your due to fly visit flight extras etc...." whereas the e-mail cites 6 months prior.

Now I know.

I too can not log in :(

Last year I booked online no problem then called welfare to organise everything. I was able to log in to book extras and tours.

When I tried to book for this year the online booking would not go through so I called the number on the website. I had assumed I was talking to Thomson head office and the booking went through. I was amazed to find when the email confirmation came through I had booked through a Torquay travel agent and been charged an extra £25 for the privilege

I have had to do everything through them. Last year I dealt with welfare direct this year its been like chinese whispers......sigh. The first thing they rang me and said our cabin was double booked and we would now have to have the same cabin as last year which I specifically didn't want or not go at all. Then they said we couldn't take the mobility scooter (the same one we had taken 6 months previously) then they said we couldn't have the seats on the plane we wanted. Eventually it was sorted out and we got the seats and are taking the scooter but I still can't book trips :(

People when logging on I go to api log in, and put my 7 digit number there's no / in it, if you log onto my booking it asks for a long number ***/***** , but this doesn't work with me either, so try the api log in, it should work.

I ave never been able to log in to my booking whether cruise booked through TA or on line. I was shown at a TA where to go on the Thomson main cruise page, the API login at the top for things like seat choice, flight extras, check in and boarding cards - use the 7 digit number. For excursions on the same main cruise page hit shore excursions and the same 7 digit number and follow the rest of the questions and you get all your excursions day by day. I have just done it for mine as I have typed this, and it worked ok. We go 20 Jan and have the Panama trip booked on line ok. Good luck.

In the past I too have found the API login at the top of the main Thomson cruises screen to be the only way of accessing our booking... However, just booked the Majesty online for April, and this time the paperwork has changed to show a clear reference number consisting of three blocks of numbers... The last block of 6 numbers work on the API link at the top of the screen as before... But the first two blocks of 4 & 6 numbers work on the "My Thomson" hidden link at the bottom of the page & brings up all the cruise specific tours, extras etc.

Don't know if this is new and exclusive to all online bookings, but so far it has worked very well.

Confusingly, the "Manage my booking" link next to the API link seems to have nothing to do with cruise reference numbers and has never worked for cruises.

If you have booked via a T.A. try the cruise reference number on the ATOL certificate with the My Thomson link.

 Curses, The price of the Majesty has dropped by £38 since I booked it... Must stop looking. :o

Hi Skoozie. First of all, I wish I was joining you both on your Caribbean cruise this year. Loved it last year.

I have read about others booking by telephone and finding that they are booking through a high street TA at the other end of the country. I booked a cruise through CruiseDeals last summer and the lady explained that many high street Thomson TAs throughout the country had special terminals installed to take phone bookings. Mine was in South Wales but I had no problems at all.

I have just booked a Fred Olsen cruise through my local Thomson TA and they price matched a popular discount cruise specialist and have not charged me £25 for doing so. At least not yet!

Received yet another invoice via email yesterday evening - strange being it was sunday tried to log in to my cruise again and it worked this time. I was able to book and pay for our excursions online, which was good.

So, car park all booked, trips booked, drinks paid for, everything paid for - I think.

June holiday all booked, browsing now for September and Christmas cruises.
