Shuttle bus charges

I am thinking of booking a 2 night mini cruise to Bruges in March, the select fare is £239 and the saver fare is £199

Does anyone have any idea of the shuttle charges into Bruges as if we choose the saver fare these would not be included

Not really that bothered about cabin number of choice of dining but I am leaning on booking the full price to get the free shuttle

Thanks

Janis

We were on a 2 night cruise to Bruges in November. There's a free shuttle to Blankenberge for all no matter what fare you pay. We were on saver fare and didn't pay. The train to Bruges was €4 each return. 10 past the hour to Bruges and 35 past the hour back. It was really easy to DIY?

The shuttle won't goto bruge. It will go to Blankenberge, it depends if the shuttle is put on by the port or P&o if it is free or not. Our recent cruise there was two shuttles one to port exit laid on by the port (which was free) another by P&o taking you into town. The train from Blankenberge is quite easy and cheap. Is it only bruge the cruise goes to, as the £80 difference would outweigh the cost of shuttle (if there was a cost) and train.

Only other thing is are you happy with the choice of dinning being assigned by p&o on the saver fare.

There are 6 of us going and would do a link booking so we would probably get cabins near to each other but it would be a problem if we didn't, as far as dining goes we would most likely eat in the buffet unless we got freedom or late dining, but for 2 nights it doesn't matter

If it easy and cheap to get into Bruges from the ship on our own then we might as well book the saver fare as it is just an overnight to Bruges and back

Thanks for your help

Remember on a saver booking, you can ask for them to be linked, however they can only slot you in where they have spare cabins. Linking will not GUARANTEE cabins near each other. If the only spare ones are at opposite ends of the ship on different decks that is where you will be slotted.

Just returned from Zeebrugge on the Oceana. The shuttle to Blankenberg is free. It drops you off by the railway station. It was 6 euros return on the train - leaving at 42 past the hour with the return 04 past the hour - make sure you get on the right part of the train as it splits.

There is a free dock shuttle that takes you to the dock gate where you can catch a tram to Blankenberg (2 euros) if you don't fancy the coach.

We were in Bruges yesterday and the shuttle was free to Blankenberg and the train fare was 6 euros return to Bruges. The times are currently 18 mins to the hours to Bruges and 4 mins past the hour to return from bruges to Blankenberg. 10 minutes walk from Bruges station to centre.

All booked, decided to go for the select fare as our previous cabin was available

It is £36 each for the P and O Bruges on your trip so we may look at the train, just a bit concerned about the walk from the station as waiting to have treatment on my foot and the P and O lady said it is a good 20 min brisk walk into town, probably end up getting a taxi

There are plenty of buses from Brugge Station to the Town Centre - you must buy the tickets from the kiosk - 2.60 euros return. You will be given two tickets for in and out journeys, and the ticket is stamped in a box by the driver's cab.
