Relocation cruise: Genoa to Durban

Good day all!!

First of we would like to wish all a very Merry Christmas.

 

OK, we are looking to do the relocation cruise for the MSC Sinfonia from Genoa to Durban in October 2015. What we want to know from those South Africans that have made this cruise before is how do we go about getting Visas for Itally? Do we need visas (I think we do), where and when will we have to apply for it here in South Africa (we live in Brits, NW)?

 

O, and do we have to get visas for all the other places we stop on our way down to Durban, or do we fall under the "Captain's blanket"?

 

Please any info will be much appreciated.
