ginka Posted December 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2014 (edited) Hi-- I have been trying to find specific details on Carnivals Soda card package. In 2012, I sailed on Princess and purchased their 'Ultimate drink card', which was their unlimited soda card. It DID however, include mocktails and shakes. Has this changed? I know that Carnival and Princess are owned by the same company, so you would 'think' that the policies would be the same..but just wondering if anyone has experience or first hand knowledge or this, rather than just assumptions. I have read that shirley temple's are included, but that others assume that virgin pina colada's or daiqaires are not. Other than a little bit more time involved, what would be the difference? Also, I have seen people questioning whether it is 12 oz. or 16 oz. Is there a limit? Or why would this matter? Unless the can becomes flat? do all the bars use cans? (sailing on Carnival sunshine, so that ship in particular) or are there places on board that serve fountain pop? thanks! Actually princess also has a soda only card that is less expensive or you can pay the higher rate for the drinks card you described that includes virgin drinks. Carnival only has the bottomless bubble card which has juices and sodas but no other cocktails. I wish they did offer the other but indeed the price is lower for the bottomless bubbles card then it is for the ultimate drink card so at least the price is fair. thephillykid Posted December 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2014 FYI, on the Glory, some bars use the guns for soda in stead if cans.
satxdiver Posted December 26, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2014 Carnival Corp runs its many cruise lines as separate companies with each making their own rules. So any similarity between what is done on the Princess ships and the Carnival ships is coincidental likely dictated by their pax (e.g. soft drink cards). The various cruise lines compete with each other to a degree but the corporation tries to minimize it by positioning each in a different segment of the market. They have started to separate the market share for Princess and HAL since there was some overlap.

pristinehart Posted December 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2014 How is bottled water play into this? Does the bottomless bubble include bottled water or is there an extra fee? I would carry on my own water but it's just not worth the effort because I'm flying into MIA.

I would carry on my own water but it's just not worth the effort because I'm flying into MIA. Bottomless Bubbles does not include bottled water. I usually stay the night before by the POM and are able to get the water at a local store. The one time we flew in the day off, we had the taxi driver stop at a gas station so we could get some water.
