What can you tell us about the NCL Majesty

Hi Joe & Sheryl,

We have cruised Boston to Bermuda twice.

The Majesty is an older ship, but clean & well appointed. The crew works as a team to make your vacation memorable.

The dining experience is very good. The food & service in the main diningrooms would compare to a 4 star land restaurant. Le Bistro is well worth the $15.00 cover charge.

The offerings in the buffet are ok for a quick meal.

My major complaint about the Majesty is the lack of supervision on the pool deck. Too many children enter the Adult Hot Tub. On occasion, we had to ask for them to leave. The other hot tub is for family use, as is one pool. The staff needs to keep a closer eye on this problem.

The entertainment on the Majesty is superb. Try to catch Rudi's acrobatic act, if he's still on board. We saw him in July & he's fabulous. His famous saying is "I like you." He will get someone from the audience to assist him.

The main "Las Vegas" type shows were good, but hardly changed from last year.

Our room stewards on the 4th deck were very attentive. They took care of our every need. The cabins are weensie, but enough room for two people and our stuff.

We loved being docked in St. George for the three days. It's quaint & picturesque. Frequent bus service makes getting around easy. We were part of a group of six, so we shared taxies to the beaches.

Horseshoe Bay had rough waves, and the facilities were dirty. Toilets and showers were not working. However, the beach itself was immaculate with nice views. The next day we visited clearwater beach which was recommended by our taxi-driver.

The water was smooth, facilities clean and working. This beach is a haven for aviation buffs, as it is ajacent to the airport. Planes were so low that we could read the logos on the tails & fuselages. We could hear the engine reversals after touchdown.

Hamilton is the "Big Town," which offers nice stores, restaurants, and sight-seeing. We never went to the Dock Yard. That will be on the agenda for our next visit. We want one more cruise on the Majesty before she leaves the NCL fleet. Hopefully, NCL will change its corporate mind and keep her. She's one of their nicest & best run ships.
