Out to sea! Posted January 7, 2015 #201 Share Posted January 7, 2015 No I think he made his point very well and I complimented on it and time to move on, probably away from this thread as well. Actually, he didn't, but that has nothing to do with this thread. Carry on.

Philly Steve Posted January 7, 2015 #203 Share Posted January 7, 2015 I love live music. Let the musicians keep their gig.
cowgirlsrock Posted January 7, 2015 #204 Share Posted January 7, 2015 I believe Gerry Cahill left the company about a month ago. For the record it really doesn't bother me a bit. I don't cruise for live bands. I cruise for the destinations and the fun that I have with my wife. Live dance bands and music to dance to . Our last cruise on the Sunshine was a disaster . If you like to dance do not go on this ship
cowgirlsrock Posted January 7, 2015 #205 Share Posted January 7, 2015 On a typical 7 night Caribbean Cruise, with 4 stops, a person will spend about 80-84% of their time on the ship. The ship is the destination, with a few side stops. Live bands, whether they are show bands, poolside bands, night clubs etc have been and are still a part of every major cruise line. Even the Casino boats out of Florida have live music. IF the only music is a DJ, or prerecorded music than it cheapens the cruise. 80% of your time, and all they do is play canned music? Anyone that wants to write, can do so today, and not wait until February. You can address it to any president, new or old, because it will be opened by staff who will compile the letters and submit it to the President. Is not part of the fun, the music? I wrote a letter but I am deciding on a cruise now . I am considering RCCL or NCL. We are in our mid 40's and have always only sailed CCL. Our last cruise on the Beautiful Sunshine was horrible in the entertainment area. I have had Jamie on 4 other cruises and she had nothing to say. There was a salsa band that played slow music. A band in the Ocean plaza that played music you couldn't dance to . The disco was opened 2 nights and closed and kicked us all out by 12 . We have always danced the night away on every other CCL ship . Please help me find out if I need to consider another line . Thanks Jen on thread and also danceboots15@yahoo.com:confused::confused:

You might be surprised at what you find.:) Bill
cuzzx Posted January 7, 2015 #207 Share Posted January 7, 2015 i think that carnival should get rid of the dancers and singers as they are just about all bad. mind you i said just about all bad. the last cruise i went on a few months ago the lead singer was so bad they turned her up louder than the male singer .it just made the whole show bad. they could hire different small up and coming bands to play in different areas to smaller groups. also carnival my let the smaller bands go also, as i noticed if the band was good everyone danced and did not drink. go figure
