Traditional Dining - Can it be speedy?

If you want to rush through dinner why don't you just go to the buffet. One of the reasons many people go on cruises is to enjoy the leisurely and lovely dining experience. I also believe there are now 3 shows but I might be wrong.

Ontario Cruiser

Because:

A) The buffet doesnt offer all the same food options as the MDR menus

B) Ever tried getting your food and a young kids food from the buffet at the same time?

C) The buffet on Princess isn't very good

Even a rushed dinner in the MDR is more relaxing than the buffet. Really though we just enjoy being out and about on the ship itself more than sitting in one place.

What's the rush? Relax. Meals should be savored, not rushed through like you are at McDonald's or something. You can enjoy your meal and still make the shows. Enjoy the dining experience. Enjoy the cruise experience.:)

The trouble with a bigger table is that the entire meal

proceeds at the pace of the slowest course

I agree... best thing to do is be in line when the doors open and be quick on the order.... people who can't decide what to eat is what slows down my table. There is just so much to choose!
