bob111 Posted December 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Interested if anyone has favorite dining tables that they can reccomend by table number for 4. Just like to be in open area. Will be on the 2-2-15 Panama Canal segment, Thank you for any suggestions. Bob

My understanding is that table numbers can and do vary by voyage since the tables often need to be reconfigured to accommodate passengers pre-boarding requests for different table sizes. Which makes sense when you think about it, right? Perhaps a more general response regarding 'open areas' will be forthcoming. Alternatively, if you find that your allocated table is not to your liking after boarding - your table arrangements should be available in your cabin - you can speak with the maître d at the appointed time published in the Daily Programme and request a change. Wishing you a wonderful cruise, Salacia Edited December 28, 2014 by Salacia
bob111 Posted December 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Thank you, Salacia, It is what I had Been thinking, as well. Last cruise, on the QM in September. we were first assigned seating on the upper level one table from the service door. Easily changed upon arriving for dinner to a much better table. We enjoyed the QM and are looking forward to the Queen Victoria. Bob
Underwatr Posted December 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2014 Well, that's not really the case as anyone who has recently sailed can attest. Table configurations are more or less stable. Having said that, IME there are a row of 6-tops along the rear windows of the lower level of Britannia where we sat on our LA-FLL transit. Highly recommended. Why not take a chance on #5 and #6 and request one of those tables. No need for a table number - just request by location as we successfully did.
