Luggage Storage question

After our cruise, which is sailing out of POM, we will be flying out of FLL but our flight doesn't leave until 6:05 that night. We were hoping to sightsee around Miami a little between debarkation and our flight.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere or anyone who would safely store our things until we got ready to leave? Even if it was for a small charge we wouldn't mind.

Ideally we would do our sightseeing before the cruise but because our flight schedules that won't be possible.

I have seen reports that the Hop-on/Hop-off bus tour of Miami/Miami Beach offers luggage storage. Luggage storage is also available at Bayside Mall.

 

You could shuttle to FLL, store bags there, and then taxi to the water-taxi, beach, Las Olas, etc.

 

Another option is to rent a car in Miami, put the bags in the trunk, and go where you want. One way rentals - Miami to FLL are reasonable.

I second the car rental idea. That's what we do and go to the everglades for an airboat ride before our flight.

 

Your cruise line might also offer a luggage express option where they will send your bags to the airport for you.
