"To be assigned" is killing me!

Got my GTY interior room assignment but I have a question. Is it possible that my room category can get upgraded after being assigned? Like maybe a better deck or bigger interior room after initial assignment?

Not likely unless you are willing to pay more for a better cabin

We also switched to guarantee at that awesome sale.

We are balcony, 36 days out and got our assignment yesterday, friends booked the same sale, and we ended up with cabins side by side.

Conquest Upper Deck (6) close to the front. Never been near the front, but as long as I am on the ship I am happy!!

Happy Cruising!!

Well we are all in the same boat...(not quite, we're on the Triumph). I booked our good guarentee cyber Monday when prices were good. Our cruise out of Galveston is Jan. 26, so we are 24 days out. I keep looking too. It's going to make quite a back log and traffic jam if we are all assigned our rooms when we get there. By the way, I've always been happy with any room given to us.

We didn't get our guarantee cabin assignment until 2 days before our cruise. Our cruise was on Liberty and it was for a balcony. We ended up with a good category, 8D, but a bad location. It was under the Lido so heard carts rolling during the night and across from the steward's panty so heard them early in the morning on.

We chose the guarantee only because the cabins we would have chosen were already booked as we only booked about 2 months before the cruise. I must have checked 20 times a day to see if we got a cabin. I would not book a guarantee again unless we booked really close to sailing.

I don't deal well with stress like wondering what we were getting. Even though I found out our cabin wasn't a good one, I was relieved knowing we had one. I much prefer to choose my cabin,
