Flying into CDG

Recommended Posts

You can do, as all the runways at CDG are laid out in an east-west direction. The airfield is to the north-east of Paris, so you can get a decent view if you are literally approaching the airfield from the west and sitting on the south (right hand) side of the aircraft.

However, whether or not you actually do get a view depends on the direction in which the runways are being used on the day. If Paris is anything like London, the prevailing winds are westerly which means that most of the time approaches are made from the east. This is less likely to give you much of a view.
