Prepaid Gratuities, No charging privileges ~ Cash deposit?

I'm almost positive I understand this correctly.... but would like confirmation~

 

There is no need for me to deposit cash onto S&S accounts for kids cabin, if I've prepaid gratuities and given kids no charging privileges, correct?

but remember you still need their card to open the cabin door. and to get on and off the ship
