Falmouth bus transportation to MoBay

I've done a fair amount of reading, and understand there is some bus transportation options that are less expensive than a taxi to get from Falmouth to Mo Bay. (We are planning a day at Dr.'s Cave.) It looks like it is $20 pp round trip. Can you do bus transportation without advanced reservations through a company like Jaital, etc.? I.e. Can you walk off the port and catch a bus to Mo Bay Area as easily as getting a taxi? I've seen pictures of the sign that lists taxi and bus prices, but don't see many posts about using the bus transportation option. Thanks.
