AE_Collector Posted January 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2015 There are still many topics fully covering Christmas cruises on the first few pages of listings here on Cruise Critic. You could read for hours! Terry
Vette Gal Posted January 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2015 DH and I just returned yesterday from a 15 day cruise to Hawaii. The ship was beautifully decorated with numerous Christmas trees, wreaths, etc. There was a giant Santa's sleigh with reindeer displayed with lots of gingerbread houses in the Piazza. We also took several small items to decorate our cabin. I used magnets to secure a couple of cut-out decorations to the walls of the cabin and to secure a lovely red bow to our cabin door. There were a number of festivities planned for children. Including Santa Claus visiting on Christmas Day. There was a real party atmosphere on New Year's Eve. There was a giant balloon drop at midnight in the Piazza. All of the staff made it a point to say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" throughout the voyage. It was a super voyage and we had a great time.
Cruisin' Chick Posted January 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2015 Our last three cruises were the Hawaiian ones during the holidays on Princess. Very enjoyable. And without the traffic jams to get into your local mall's parking lot.
GradUT Posted January 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2015 We did a Western Caribbean cruise over Christmas this year on the Emerald Princess. I was really concerned that the ship would be inundated with rude, unruly and unsupervised children. Not only were there relatively few children on board, but I did not encounter any that were misbehaving. It was a fabulous vacation for us parents and our young adult children. helenb Posted January 5, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2015 I saw a few people asking to see the Christmas Day MDR menu before we left on our Christmas cruise, so we took pictures! This was the Star Princess 2014 Christmas Day MDR menu. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u19/mcruises/P1030591-1.jpg http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u19/mcruises/P1030590-2.jpg
