Save the Date letter- What did you say?

Recommended Posts

Hi, we are going on the Fantasy for our wedding in April 06. Save the dates will be going out very soon, to about 40 of our nearest and dearest guests.

I'll send a magnet or something, but what else? I was thinking either a handwritten notecard that was to the point, like "we hope you'll join us on our 4-night Bahamas cruise" with the name and phone number of our DW specialist/TA... OR a full-out typed letter, "we hope you'll join us, if not we understand, we're still having an at-home reception" etc.

What did you all do? Do you have the letter for inspiration?

Thanks :-)

We created little passport books for our guests that included:

- A note from us

_ "Passport" photos

- The cruise itinerary

- Cruise pricing info and our TA's info

- Brief overview of the islands we'd be visiting

- Our top 10 favorite reasons to cruise

- Date for our at-home reception

here's a link to the almost final version with copy.

If the link doesn't work, please feel free to e-mail me at traci underscore gavzer @ yahoo dot com.

Hope this helps!

We did ours like an invitation. I purchased invitations that could be used in a laser printer and used the following language. They went out about 5 months before the cruise.
