Hi. New to this forum. Anyone sailing on the wonder on the 18th? My husband and I are going as a couple (no kids) and we're looking to make some friends. You can also reply with your experience on the wonder if you have sailed on her before. Any suggestions would def help!

Thanks.

I have read about adult entertainment and some people saying it's pretty good; other comments have been negative saying adult places are pretty much 'deserted'...was just wondering what kind of ambience I will find and if this was the best choice for my husband and I.

I have sailed on the Dream before but with the children. I did like the service and treatment we received, hence why I booked another cruise with Disney. Are the shows worth watching? Specifically The Toy Story one as we already saw 'golden Mickey's' which we loved. Is booking a Remy dinner 'worth it'?

Thanks.

First, there's no Remy on the Wonder - only Palo.

We've always cruised DCL as adults only. We've had plenty to see and do. Yes, it may be a bit earlier than some other cruise lines late night entertainment, but there's plenty to do, as far as we're concerned.

Personally, regarding the shows, I think everyone should see all the shows before deciding for themselves whether a show is "worth watching". There are shows that I've seen, and probably won't see again, and other shows I'll see repetitively. Others don't like the shows I do and vice versa.

While you've seen Golden Mickeys on the Dream, the one on the Wonder has some differences, so I'd suggest seeing that, as well as Dreams (an award-winning at sea production).

The shows are definitely worth seeing. Palo is great, and makes for a nice evening. THere is no Remy on the Magic or Wonder.

Adult evening activities on DCL ships tend to wind down about midnight. It's not an all night party. But yes, the 10:30 and 11:00 activities are generally well attended. Then the crowd starts to thin out a the evening gets later.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just got back from the Disney Wonder on a 5 night western caribbean cruise. We sailed Jan 18-23, 2015 and all I can say is my husband and I had an amazing time as a couple! Sure there were lots of kids, but we did not mind and there are certain places to be in if you want some alone time.

I was a little worried about the ship's condition, but although it is an old ship, they really do maintain it in great shape. We really found it much cozier than the Dream (not saying the Dream is not a luxurious, fantastic ship) and the staff as always, was superb!
