ere Posted January 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Hello We are debating on 1) Svalbard on Silversea for 10 days in June; or 2) Svalbard/Greenland/Iceland for 14 days in June on Linbald/National Geo Expedition We really like the idea of the longer trip going to all three places but don't want to cut short opportunity to see polar bears in Svalbard as it seems most trips tend to spend 10 days just in that area. The longer trip that goes on to Greenland/Iceland only spends 5 nights in Svalbard, 3 greenland, 3 sea days, 2 Iceland. So are we cutting our chances of seeing polar bears short if we do the long trip? Understand Silversea a bit more luxurious in terms of food and services but Linbald as good in resources, etc which is kind of the point of this type trip.We will be traveling with 2 kids ages 8 and12. Any input would be appreciated.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted January 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Cannot personally speak to Silversea's expedition ships, but I can say that their regular ships are no match for children.
