flmommyto2 Posted January 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2015 Hoping someone who has been there recently can answer this question. Do you wear gloves when zipliing and stop yourself by holding down the line behind you or is there a bar that you put your hands on? We have seen both kinds In the pictures. DH is concerned about the kids and wants to know which kind they have. Any other advice would be great. Thanks :-)
SuiteTraveler Posted January 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2015 The zip lines have brakes on them, so you don't need gloves or to brake yourself on the zip lines at Mystic Mountain. You start by riding a ski lift up the mountain. Once at the top, there is the zip lining, the bobsled (which you do have to apply the brakes on) and also a pool and water slide. At the end of the day, you ride the ski lift back down. You can see photos of all this here: http://www.visitjamaica.com/mystic-mountain Sometimes members of the Jamaican bobsled team are on hand to sign autographs and there is a little museum about them and a snack bar and shop as well. rstout Posted April 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2015 While riding the zip line, you put your hands on bars (no gloves needed). It is much better than having gloved hands on the line.
ilovetotravel1977 Posted April 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Another question... What is the difference between the Basic and Upgrades packages at the zip lining?
