runner5 Posted January 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2015 We will be in port in Cozumel March 30. Wondering if there are any beaches in walking distance or do I need to book an excursion? I saw posts about Mr. Sanchos Beach All Inclusive Day Pass, but what I really just want is to lay on a nice beach, I really don't care about unlimited drinks. Any information is MUCH appreciated!! Rare crewsweeper Posted January 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Which ship are you on? Which dock? That'll help in locating a beach close by. Just FYI all beaches are accessible to the public without having to go through a facility. There are several public access points along the Western coast. But beaches closer to the two southern most cruise docks and south of San Miguel aren't like the beaches further south of the Puerta Maya pier. And beaches just north of San Miguel are typically affiliated with resort hotels.
runner5 Posted January 14, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 14, 2015 We are on the Norwegian Jewel, we will be docking at Punta Langosta. Can you recommend what beach to go to? Could we walk there or should we plan to get a taxi? Thanks for your help!!!!
danfiveoh Posted January 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2015 You will want to take a taxi. Don't do a ship tour, too easy to get a cab and go to any number of great beaches close by, but too far to walk. Tons of info on these boards about the beaches, we typically don't do all inclusive, just rent a chair and and buy a few drinks.
