tequilamockingbird Posted August 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2005 If your ship is delayed in leaving a day or two OR out at sea and extra day or two does insurance cover any extra hotel/airfare expenses?
spongerob Posted August 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2005 Not all insurance is created equal. Check the fine print for specifics.
bplazo Posted August 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2005 Our insurance covered it. It paid for our hotel, food, and the van we had to rent because we had to fly into another city and drive to Miami. I was sure glad about the van because it came to about $400.00 just for that. RichardK Posted August 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Most likely, PROVIDED, that you purchased the insurance before it became a "named" storm.
river525 Posted August 28, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 28, 2005 What is the best company to go with for coverage? I'm cruising on Carnival and I think they have it but they didn't mention it when I purchased our cruise.
tequilamockingbird Posted August 28, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Thanks everyone! After reviewing our insurance I think we're ok. It says we are covered for: TRIP: Cancellation, interruption, delay/missed connection, itinerary change.... Phew! I am relieved :)
