We are taking the September 25th Sapphire one dayer. We are looking forward to the 'evening out' and are actually looking forward to the bus ride back home. We enjoy cruising for what it is - a relaxing vacation, with plenty of options of things to do or not to do. The little perks that any cruise line offers for past customers is nice but not why we choose to cruise. Too bad they don't take 5% off your total for each cruise you have taken - now that would be a deal!!!

This one will be our 7th Princess cruise (and our 4th short coastal), so we're platinum, but at the end of this cruise we'll have just 31 days at sea.

Wow, after our 7th, we'll have 106 nights...we must be on the opposite ends of the spectrum! No matter, now that we've made Platinum with free internet, I'm happy. Elite will come, I'm sure, at some point in the future. We've finally reached the highest level on Celebrity (and now Royal Caribbean, by association). You take the cruises you like without worrying about the numbers and the loyalty fairy will eventually shower you with good things.

We did a one night cruise out of Norfolk several years ago. I did it as a way to introduce my family to cruising. The price was no more than a weekend away. My MIL LOVED the casino and saved hundreds of dollars to gamble without telling her DH and she had a blast in there. It was like a family party for us - except:

DD chocked on a hot dog, and turned blue before my BIL gave her the heimlich -

Same DD lost a tooth while eating dinner

3 family members didn't feel so hot that night because we just happened to sail during a Nor'easter so the weather was crappy on deck

Overall, we had fun :D and they still talk about the trip, but no has joined us on a cruise :(
