Sunshine decks 3 or 5

Has anyone stayed on either one of these decks? We are looking at sailing during Thanksgiving.

We stayed on Deck 5 on the Sunshine in October. We were aft behind the casino and loved it!

 

We are looking at cruising on the Sunshine for Thanksgiving 2015 too!

I was on the Sunshine last summer (BL, Deck 8 Forward), and have a cruise booked for her this summer (IS, Deck 7 Forward, so far). I was originally booked in an IS on deck 6 Aft, and other family members were booked on Deck 5 Aft). I was looking to upgrade to an OCV deck 5 since its near the Ocean Plaza, and the centrally located activities on the ship. When I went to make the changes, the price had dropped so, that I was able to upgrade to a balcony for the four other cabins in our party. I did check out this area while onboard for future reference, and although I didn't have a cabin on this deck, I would select either an IS or OCV for easy access around the ship. This location also makes it easy for me to walk up and down the stairs going to and from the Lido or other higher or lower deck activities (to lose the weight I gain I while cruising). Hope this helps.

We booked the Sunshine for Thanksgiving. Can't wait for "Grand Turk"ey day! ;)

We have an aft balcony on deck 5. After looking at the deck plans, we are hopeful this is close to quite a few venues that we will enjoy. Only a few flights up to Lido and only a couple sets of stairs when we come back from ports. Seems pretty centrally located!
