mykeb14 Posted January 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Me and the other half are debating over a B2B on the inspiration or going for a 7 day on the magic. We are paying for our friend and her son to go with us so we will save about a $1500 if we do the B2B ( Gas, rental, hotel included) We live in AZ so we can wake up the morning of the cruise and drive out instead of having to leave a day early. I was wondering has anyone done a B2B on the Inspiration or the Imagination? If so what are the pros and cons.
xbatt8 Posted January 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2015 We have done 2 B2Bs on the Imagination. A lot of fun. The only "con" is that you do Ensenada twice. That's great with me, as I love Ensenada, but others may not like it as much. There are a lot of "pros" however. After the first cruise, you meet at Guest Services after everyone has left the ship and are escorted off the ship. You are escorted through customs and back into the VIP check in area. After checking in for the second cruise, you are escorted back onto the ship first. If you have the same cabin (which I highly recommend), you don't have to pack anything up or carry anything off the ship except your passports. It's pretty simple. You will often find a bottle of champagne in your room when you get back as a thank you for doing the B2B. I rather enjoyed our B2Bs. I will do more of them in the future. Bob Maybe one day a B2B will fit into our schedule. Fingers Crossed!:D A little off topic, tell me a little about Ensenada(what do you love about it?). We are sailing the Inspiration in February and have never been there. What should we see, stay away from, etc??

K Not necessarily true. Occasionally, the bookings are flagged as a B2B and duty free alcohol bought in the onboard shops or brought onboard from a port would be delivered on the last night of the last segment. Of course YMMV, but for a while, Carnival was extremely strict with this. You can, however, purchase from the onboard shops after 7pm on the last night of the first cruise and you can enjoy it on the second segment. JillySue Posted January 18, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2015 We're doing this in February on the Imagination and we are SO excited! Got it dirt cheap in the Halloween sale and the one right after. Fell into place beautifully. We're OV guarantee for both legs, so I'm hoping we get the same cabin for both legs! Anyone got experience with that? Thanks :)
xbatt8 Posted January 19, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 19, 2015 A little off topic, tell me a little about Ensenada(what do you love about it?). We are sailing the Inspiration in February and have never been there. What should we see, stay away from, etc?? I love the food and the fun. We usually get tacos from our favorite taco shop, then DW shops and I have a blast at Papas and Beer. I usually get a massage as well. We have 2-3 places that we like to eat so it doesn't get TOO old eating the same thing... :D Just a fun place to enjoy. Bob
