Coffee on the Valor

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows or remembers what the coffee is like on the Valor. I like my coffee strong and dark (Starbucks like), was wondering if the regular coffee served on the Valor is like that or if it is on the weak side. Thanks!

As a general rule, Carnival's Lido deck and MDR coffees are lighter roasted than Starbucks bold roasts (which can border on the burnt taste side). At times they use the robusta style coffees but may have switched to arabica styles. You can find their specialty coffees expresso roasts, which are arabica from Lavazza roasters, to be more flavorful for your tastes. My suggestion is to pick up some of the VIA packets like Tribute, Fair-Trade Italian Roast, or even House Blend or Columbia. I've even found Christmas Blend in VIA packets, which I have for use on cruises. Bring your own thermal coffee mug and just fill with hot water. If your mug is a 20 oz size or larger you might even try 1/2 Via and 1/2 lido deck coffee.

Try a regular cup of Lido deck coffee first and see if it meets your tastes. But you'll have no real issues with the VIA products.

Thanks, I was planning to bring a few packets just in case, but I guess I'll bring enough to make full cups of VIA in case I find the coffee too weak.
