Christmas on the Freedom 2014

So I just realized I never finished this review. Sorry. I suck.

 

Friday, December 26, 2014 - Sea Day

We woke up and went to breakfast on the lido deck. DH got another burrito. I grabbed some french toast, bacon, and grits from the buffet. They don't have any shredded cheese to add to the grits, so I improvised with some of the slices.

 

 

 

We relaxed around the ship for a little bit. We realized we still had some drink tickets, so we went to brunch to use them up. I ordered a Kiss on the Lips and DH ordered a Hurricane Wave.

 

 

 

DH ordered the huevos rancheros and I ordered the mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was really bland, so I barely ate any of it.

After lunch we took a nap and then went to Disney trivia hosted by Jimmy. It was packed, but a lot of fun.

 

The past guest party was held this afternoon. There were free flowing drinks and appetizers. I remember them having sandwiches, salmon tartare, salmon cheesecake, and tomato mozzarella.

 

 

 

We got to see a sneak peek of the Super Bowl commercials. They also had some dancing at the end of the party. The party was fun, but I was disappointed that they just had the DJ there and not the show band. I really miss the show band. :-(

After the party, we went to dinner and got a nice seat by the window. Service was extremely slow tonight.

 

For appetizers, DH ordered the mango cream soup and I ordered a caesar salad.

 

 

 

For entrees, DH ordered the bacon mac n cheese and I ordered the fried shrimp.

 

 

 

Both of us ordered the grand marnier souffle for dessert and I didn't get a picture. It was delicious as always though.

 

Came back to the room to pack and were greeted by a heart.

Overall it was a fun cruise. I don't know if we would cruise at Christmas time again though. It was really crowded and very expensive.

We were on this same sailing and thought the same thing. Too many kids running around...even in the Pub which I wasn't expecting. Got it off the bucket list though. Still had a good time though and went back 37 days later for the repositioning! We really enjoyed the Freedom when we sailed on her.

I'm so jealous you were on the repositioning. I wanted to do it so bad, but DH is a teacher, so he couldn't take that much time off work.

Thanks for coming back to finish your Christmas cruise review. I can't decide if I'd want to cruise over Christmas or not, but I did enjoy the one New Year's cruise we took, so I might consider that again. It is nice to see the ship all decorated, too. :)
