Prettiest Beach Nassau/Paradise Island with amenities

We have a day in Nassau - arrive at 8, leave at 5

Not really interested in touring - we just want a gorgeous beach where we can buy lunch and drinks - 5 adults

Our ship offers trips to Breezes ($78), Crystal Bay ($42) & Blackbeards Cay ($25)

I'm willing to go on a non-ship excursion if you know of one that meets our needs.

Any tips?

Paradise Island is beautiful. We took a ferry over--$3.00 each way-- --not an excursion from ship,(long hot wait-would probbly take a taxi again) and enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach. Clean...but did not try to eat food. We arrived after lunch, but I know people were eating and enjoying coconut drinks. The waer is gorgeous! Have a wonderful time!

.........

Don't know what a taxi would cost you but you can catch the #10 bus over to Cable Beach, Wyndham Crystal Palace Hotel and enjoy their pool/beach facilities for free.

All they really want you to do is eat/drink there..... The pool is truly great and most times they even have music playing. The beach is also beautiful and very relaxing.

And, if you're up to it, they have a nice casino right there too!! Enjoy...

I've heard discussion lately that they are now starting to discourage day-trippers. I called the resort - and indeed they said they are checking room passes.

We can buy a room for the day: $75 + 15 per person. Wish we could do it without getting the room!

When are you going? I'll be there this weekend, and even through we are renting a room, I'll let you know what I saw when I get back, i.e., was their security bothering anyone on the beach etc...

Also, a good tip would be to bring your own towels from home so as not to be obvious if carrying a towel from a cruise ship......
