deadzone1003 Posted January 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 27, 2015 We signed up for the Savona to Dubai cruise for this November. Apparently, the disembarkation/embarkation process in Dubai is quite different than in other ports. It appears that we will be overnighing in Dubai. Normally, on most cruises, the last passengers leave by 10am. What are the Costa rules for disembarkation for Dubai?

Passengers can be getting off all through the first night, the next day and as late as 10pm on the final day. Disembarking passengers cross over with embarking ones. If they haven't arranged your flights, they will ask for details, so they can work put when you need to put your luggage out, when you will vacate your cabin and when you will leave. If you're not flying home, you can more or less decide when you want to leave to go to your hotel. I usually go around lunch time but have left it later than that. deadzone1003 Posted January 28, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 28, 2015 On the day you left the ship at 10pm, were you allowed to leave the ship and return to the ship at a later time? or on the last day, once you left the ship, you couldn't return? AmoMondo Posted January 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2015 You could come and go as you pleased. You just had to put your luggage out by the time they said and vacate your cabin my the time they said. They had a facility to store hand luggage as well. WE are booked on the one leaving Savona on the 15th November 2015 but this has now been removed from the list of cruises for sale on the Costa website. There is what appears to be a replacement cruise leaving Savona on the 26th November 2015 which has just appeared on the Costa website.
deadzone1003 Posted January 28, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted January 28, 2015 The replacement cruise, of course. It really doesn't matter as it pertains to Costa's procedures in Dubai which are different from their other embarkation/disembarkation ports due to vast majority of passengers using flights past midnight to leave Dubai.
