Specialty Restaurant Quality

With all the Ultimate Dinning Packages now has anyone noticed a change in the quality of restaurants like Cagneys and Le bistro?

I have a friend that recently returned from a cruise and felt the quality of the steaks and dishes has gone down.

Jack, we just returned from a BTB on the Jewel and we usually purchase the UDP, but did not this cruise because of this reason. The main dining room had excellent food and service...over the top for our experience the last couple of years. We did eat at Le Bistro, it was delicious. It appeared to us that more people chose the UBP, therefore not effecting quality of the specialty restaurants.

I never thought they were all that amazing in the 1st place.

Look at it this way: The UDP costs what, $119 for 7 days? A true foodie in a food city would expect to pay at least that per person for one meal in a top steakhouse or French restaurant so it's like comparing the onboard pizza to a true NY slice -- there is no comparison.
