Glacier point wilderness safari - getting out at glacier?

While looking up reviews of this excursion and Davidson Glacier on tripadvisor, some of the photos and reviews include being able to get out at the glacier. Is this just luck of the draw? None of the tour descriptions mention this, can someone point me in the right direction? I'd really love to get out and walk around but all my searching has not turned anything up.

There were a couple of trip reports this summer that mentioned that tour but I don't recall anyone saying that they were ON the glacier. Perhaps do a search on 'glacier point'.

The only trips ON the Davidson Glacier that I've read about were ice climbing day trips.

You walk around on the glacier terminal moraine.

If you do a You Tube search for Glacier Point Wilderness Safari many people have posted videos of their trips (including the walk).

 

I'm doing this excursion in July of 15 and really looking forward to it.
