Poker question

Sorry, I posted this in another forum, but think it may belong here. I am working on convincing my boyfriend to go on a cruise .... I think I may have found my angle.;) He likes to gamble and is interested in poker tournaments. Not high stakes, just something to pass the time as he thinks he will be bored on the ship. Does anyone know if the casinos run tournaments? I am leaning towards Carnival, Royal Caribbean or possibly Celebrity cruise lines. Any other info on the casino would be greatly appreciated (I have gathered though that the slots don't pay out all that well).

I spend a lot of time in the casino and as of yet not seen poker offered. The house stands to make a lot more money from other card games where you are playing against the house rather than other players. There are blackjack tournaments.

I have read on these boards where some ships might be setting aside a table for poker due to it's current high level of interest.

I haven't heard of any ships conducting tournaments. However, there are a few ships that have poker tables:

Most NCL ships

Grand Princess

Carnival Pride, Legend, Fascination and Imagination

Carnival Sensation (in September)

HAL's Zuiderdam
