Cheap Restaurants in San Juan for Pre-Cruise

For those of you who have spent time in San Juan PR pre-cruise...

We'll be in San Juan for 3 days prior to our sailing. Can you suggest some good inexpensive eateries for breakfast, lunch, or dinner that we can try? We don't mind hole-in-the-wall type restaurants if they're easily accesible for tourists and serve good Puerto Rican dishes!

We stayed pre-cruise in Condado (at the La Concha) and ate breakfast at Pinky's across the street both days. Sooooooo good!

I've heard about Pinky's; we'll have to taxi it over there since we'll be staying at Embassy Suites in Isla Verde. Thanks for the suggestion.

Why don't you just eat breakfast at the Embassy Suites. They provide a made to order breakfast in the room rate. We just stayed there for 3 nights at the end of October and we ate breakfast there. They also have a managers cocktail reception every evening. That would be the most inexpensive since it is free.

Just about everywhere we travel we stay at an Embassy, so I've had the pleasure of their hot breakfasts on many occasions. I'm looking for suggestions for any great, inexpensive places to eat in San Juan.

Try El Jibarito it's on Calle Sol. I stop in any time I am in Puerto Rico. It's authentic and reasonably priced. Expect a wait depending on the time and day. The food has a more home cooked then restaurant taste. You can google it and see reviews.
