Booking meaning?

Hi,

 

Using the forums as a crash course in learning about cruises, a change to our holiday plans has meant that we have booked a cruise for the very first time.

 

We are booked on the Eclipse in May to visit the Norwegian Fjords. When we booked there was very little room choice and our finances meant we had only 1 option, an indoor cabin.

 

Could someone clarify what the following means in relation to our booking, in beginners terms anyway!

 

'12 GTY - not applicable'

You have a guaranteed inside cabin. The actual cabin will be assigned probably about 30-45 days out. You can go to expedia.com and click on your cruise and look at the inside cabins that are still available. you are correct in that this is a VERY popular (and thus expensive) cruise.

GTY could be a guaenteed ca# biin or to be determined...did they give you a room number? If not it is to be determined and they will contact you with a cabin later

I think you might have got the last inside, or just about - it's now showing as only concierge and above available. Good timing! :)
